Mental Health Europe 2013

This year the evaluation has focussed on what the individual members think, the Youth Unemployment programme and the introduction of National Platforms for mental health in member countries.  MHE is also coordinating a campaign to support the use of ICD 10 as distinct from the more controversial recently published DSM V

Europa Donna 2013

I have been contracted to be the external evaluator for the core programme for 2013. This is focussing on the core programme, the Pan european conference and the 2 websites for this year.   www.europadonna.org and www.breasthealthday.org

 

   

 

   

Changing Minds Enterprise CIC

Changing Minds is now working closely with another social enterprise Rainbow Innovations to look at ways of developing well being and support services for people with experience of mental health problems in Northampton.

 
     

UNICEF Children’s Disability Consultancy 2011

I have been working with UNICEF in Georgia reviewing the Day Centres for children with disabilities, developing standards and an assessment format for licensing the services and helping the Ministry write a policy for children with disabilities.

ACES Advancing the three cycle system in social work education in six European countries

This project is now complete,students are enrolled on all the courses, my colleagueProf Doel was made an Honorary Professor at Tbilisi State University in recognition of the strength of the partnerships forged by this programme and the importance of the new school and resources .

PER Advocacy 2011 Introducing advocacy to Tbilisi and the regions in Georgia

I ran a series of workshops on developing advocacy especially for parents of children with learning difficulties and mental health problems and also introduced the idea of involving users in the research and evaluation of programmes. This three day workshop as part of a larger process of developing advocacy across Georgia and was supported by the EU and MATRA programme of the Dutch Embassy there. One of the outcomes was an exhibition of art work.
