ABOUT JO LUCAS
BSc Hons Psychology and Sociology, MSc Social Work and Social Policy, CQSW, Diploma in Social Policy Research, MSC Integrative Psychotherapy, Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
Over the years I have developed a very collaborative style of working with colleagues, individuals and teams in a whole range of organisations.
I specialise in carrying out evaluations of small organisations looking both at the process of project implementation and the outcomes. I am also involved in staff mentoring and for small organisations. My focus is always how the client or the people affected are involved in, and impacted by, the work.
I have designed and implemented a number of EU funded projects, run a small charity and worked in a range of different types of organisation. I have supported the development of social enterprises as a form of creating employment for people who are excluded and as a way for small voluntary organisation to earn an income.
I have also worked with the private sector exploring networking opportunities for small businesses.
I am a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (RSA) an Associate Research Fellow at Sheffield Hallam University Research Centre for Health and Social Care Research, an Honorary Fellow at the Centre for Excellence in Interdisciplinary Mental Health (CEIMH) at Birmingham University.
I am a Non Executive Director of the Common Cause Foundation and Changing Minds Enterprise and Trustee of Mind in Cambridgeshire
